Balanced flue heaters
Art and Horizon Series
DRU Art and Horizon balanced flue gas wall heaters have been the most popular form of church heating in the UK since the 1950s. They also have many other commercial and domestic applications.
There are nine models with heat outputs from 2.4 to 11.1 kw. They are compatible with natural gas or LPG, require no electrical supply and can be installed on their own or centrally time controlled.
DRU Art and Horizon gas wall heaters are balanced flue appliances. This is a system that was developed by DRU in the 1930s and is the basis for a large number of gas heating appliances today. They draw air from outside the building for combustion using a flue with natural convection. A separate compartment of the same flue expels waste gases to the outside.
The result of this is safe, quiet and efficient heating for commercial and domestic applications. Because the Oxygen is not being depleted inside the building, the heating is comfortable for church congregations, school pupils, office workers or people at home.
The heaters have an efficency rating of 78%. This is exceptionally good for any commercial heating appliance. It means that, with correct care and maintenance, the heaters will deliver economical church or school heating, with lower fuel bills and lower carbon emissions, making them safe for the environment.
DRU Art series gas wall heaters are compatible with either natural gas or LPG. This means that they can be installed in almost any location, however remote that may be. They can be found in rural churches, village halls, military barracks, government establishments, agricultural premises and zoos.
Another major benefit of DRU Art series heaters is that they require no electrical supply. They use a battery powered piezo electric ignition. Again, this makes them suitable for church and school heating in remote locations or temporary buildings. They can be used anywhere that there is limited or no electrical supply.
DRU Art and Horizon series commercial heaters are attractive in appearance, with beige coloured outer cases that are unobtrusive and tasteful in any commercial or domestic heating environment. Art series have standard size cases, while Horizon models have a lower profile so they can be located under tall windows or in low wall spaces.

Style Series
Style Series gas wall heaters have the same balanced flue technology as Art Series, but with a more contemporary, alu-metallic front cover design.
They are a natural choice for offices, studios, apartments, home extensions and conservatories.
Just like the Art Series, they are compatible with natural gas and LPG and have a range of heat outputs from 3 – 5.4 kw
